Each case is tailored to the specific needs of the individual client.
Professional courtroom display presentations can be created to accommodate the specific needs of each individual case.
Pictured here, Matt checks the progress of eight computers set up by
DataChasers in a company's board room to work an extensive copyright
and trade-secrets case on-scene.
An integral part of trial preparation is the necessity to
adequately, and simply, explain the science of computer forensics to a
jury that may not have any understanding of computers.
- Fast, accurate, and complete data discovery.
- Each case is tailored to the specific needs of the individual
client or client corporation. Therefore, optional levels of examination
are offered, and the entire scope of the examination is tailored to fit
the needs of the client. (Please see Examination Levels.)
- Data recovery and imaging, including text files (documents),
graphics files (pictures), E-mail, URL (Internet) activity, and the
Date Codes on all files. Recovery of deleted, hidden or lost files is
nearly always successful through byte-by-byte, sector-level examination
of hard drives or floppies, including slack and unallocated disk space.
- Intellectual property disputes of all types.
- Computer vulnerability and threat assessment.
- Discovery evidence. Imaging, assessment, auditing, and validation
of Discovery evidence for any litigation. The process is evaluated and
the level of adequacy is accessed on previously examined computers.
- Expert witness services: DataChasers® personnel have extensive
litigation experience. We offer litigation support, trial preparation,
Special Master services and expert witness testimony (see: Expert
Testimony).
- Training and presentations (see: MCLE & Training).
- Tape backup restoration and analysis; any format.
- We offer on-scene, as well as laboratory-based examinations. A
specialist is available 24-7 for your convenience and to accommodate
your need for confidentiality. A preview of the subject computer is
often all that is required; however, the media can also be acquired (a
bit-by-bit copy is produced, a clone) for later and more through
examination in the laboratory.
- Fully trained experts in the computer field staff DataChasers'
state-of-the-art computer laboratory. Forensic machines and software
are continually upgraded to keep pace with the fast-growing amount of
available technology. Our technicians, all of whom have prior law
enforcement experience, carry multiple certifications specific to
forensic computer work, and maintain affiliations with numerous
professional organizations. They are constantly involved in training,
and stay current with the latest techniques to ensure complete
extraction of all data.
- Our services come with years of public sector experience at the
state and local levels. Our experts are certified by recognized
training disciplines, including IACIS and SEARCH.
HARD DRIVE DESTRUCTION SERVICE: Professionals
frequently need to upgrade their computers, or for other reasons
dispose of hard drives ("HDDs") that contain sensative client/patient
information. For a nominal fee, DataChasers will forensically wipe all
data, then destroy the internal HDD platters rendering all data
completely gone...guaranteed. And we will confirm the process to you in
writing.
Sometimes bigger isn't better. Choose DataChasers when you want the very best in service. You can pay a lot more, and not get a better job.
Office locations and reduced driving-time rates make us local to most Southern California areas.
All equipment is state-of-the-art, ensuring the fastest
possible processing times. Primary forensic software has been tested
and approved by The National Institute of Justice and The National
Institute of Standards and Technology in their Computer Forensic Tool
Testing project.
