• Whenever possible, an ACS investigator should conduct an activity check and a background check as preparation for the surveillance.
• The investigations manager will order, monitor, and evaluate all surveillance work requested.
• ACS provides highly trained and skilled investigators who use state-of-the-art technology in order to provide quality video documentation.

• Verification of claimants residence or location.
• Spot check(s) of claimants residence to determine daily activities.
• Neighborhood or area investigation/interviews (if desired).
• Interviews of claimant or claimants family (if desired).

Compensability/Liability Investigations

• Provide photographs, diagrams and/or observations documenting the accident/injury site.
• Interview employers, co-workers, or other pertinent witnesses regarding the accident/injury in question.
• Obtain official documentation as appropriate that relates to the accident/injury investigation.

Skip Trace Investigations

• Locate claimants, witnesses, or other neccessary persons to facilitate interview, and document signing or subpoena service.

Provider Investigations

• Determine if billing reflects actual care given.
• Video surveillance on all clinic patients & employees documenting duration of visit.
• Video documentation of all patient & employee license plates.
• Civil/criminal background checks.

Subrogation Investigations

• Identify possible third party interests or involvement.
• Provide photographs, diagrams, documents or observations, which support third party involvement relative to the accident/injury in question.
• Interview claimant, employer/insured, witnesses, or other persons able to provide information relative to the accident/injury in question.

Other

• Face-to-face contact with claimants for signing of documents such as "Agreed Statement of Facts" or answering specific questions/interrogatories.
• Taking recorded statements in those instances in which the claimant is unresponsive to specialist's efforts to obtain information by telephone.
• Transportation and display of videotapes of claimant's activities to medical providers for "ability to work" medical decisions.
• Testifying in court.
